Abstract

In this article, I have presented a brief study of Zakat and tax usage in the era of the Prophet (peace be upon him), which helps to know the details of Zakat and tax expenses in that era. In Islam, Allah Ta'ala has liked and encouraged livelihood by one’s own hands and industry and has forbidden and strongly condemned begging and taking people's wealth by oppression and force. In addition to that, no tax will be taken from the poor In Islam, but the tax from the wealthy is taken in the form of Zakat and distributed to the poor people. This article covers the details of Zakat usage as per the principles of Islam. It is not possible to cover this topic in these few pages, but still, there is a lot of guidance material for those who may research a similar topic by studying this article.
