Pious, Messengers, Bani Israel. Miracles, Resurrection, Revelation, HeavenAbstract
Allah Almighty appointed the most pious amongst human beings as His messengers to mankind for their guidance and counseling. Most of the prophets belonged to the tribe of Bani Israel. The last in the chain was Jesus Christ. He was from the family of David (peace be upon him) and was a close relative of Zechariah (peace be upon him). Allah Almighty blessed him with many miracles including famous miracles like the healing of lepers, knowledge of the unseen, resurrection of the dead by the command of Allah Almighty, and revelation of the table. The Jews became his enemies and they wanted to kill him. But Allah saved him and took him to heaven alive. As the Day of Resurrection draws near, he will be sent back to Earth where he will die a natural death after completing his lifespan. There is a difference of opinion among the commentators as to whether he will be resurrected alive and will be resurrected near the Day of Resurrection. Among the challenges of Christ’s resurrection are the majority of commentators such as Maulana Muhammad Idrees Kandhalvi, Maulana Sanaullah Amritsar, Allama Ghulam Rasool Saeedi, and Allama Mohsin Najafi who believe in the revelation of Jesus.
