Abstract

Ibn e Taimiyya (661-728/1263-1327) is one of the leading personalities in the history of Islam. He struggled hard to revive Muslim society through a new spirit of ijtihad, based on the Qur'an and the Sunnah. He was known as the mujaddid of his age. There are some basic principles and rules adopted by Ibn e Taimiyya for reformation; one of them ''The only one source for Recipe and sure knowledge is Divine revelation'' discussed in detail in this article which is soughed out from his glorious books. This article should guide the researchers and preachers to understand the method of reformation of religion, with the help of Ibn e Taimiyya's methodology.
