Abstract

Human rights are such an important part of social life that no one (personal or state) can ignore them. Human rights are the rights that a person acquires in a society by virtue of being a human being. Human rights are such an indispensable part of social life; without them human being cannot do good actions. But in some places of contemporary world, people are not providing these fundamental rights. Rohingya Muslims in Burma are one of them. In Burma, due to brutal actions of Burmese military, the social stability has been endangered. The social, political, religious, economic and other fundamental human rights are being violated. For example, State institutions have deprived them from citizenship in amendment of 1982. Moreover, child registration is another major issues, due to which numerous children remain unregistered. Firstly, for marriage, one has to go through various stages. Secondly, not more than two children are allowed per family and the violation of this rule has penalty of fine. Furthermore, the standard of living of Rohingya is below the poverty lines. They are unable to meet basic amenities of life. Even in humanitarian camps, they live in abject conditions. Unfortunately, these days Rohingya Muslims are passing through such conditions that is a severe violation of their human rights. They have lack of education, jobs and health care. Rohingya are not given the religious, social and political freedom. Their mosques and schools have been locked down. Their political parties have been banned and their rights are continued to be violated. Although under temporary citizenship they can vote, but they cannot become leaders of any political party. In this study, efforts are made to analyze fundamental human rights of Rohingya Muslims in the light of national and international laws.  Rohangiya Muslims are deprived from all fundamental human rights which are given from any national or international laws. All national and international conventions do not give permission to any state or society to violate the basic human rights. Therefore, international human rights observers and bodies should notice the violation of Rohingya Muslims fundamental rights.  The analytical and critical research methodology has been adopted in this study.
