Abstract

Marriage is a basic and important unit of human life. Mankind has been intact because of marriage as world would have been barren if there was no marriage. That's why this article discusses the contemporary analysis of Islamic and Christian marriage rituals. Islam teaches regarding all aspects of life. On the other hand Christianity doesn't answer all questions of life satisfactorily so this case is regarding marriage as well. Because Christianity preaches human eloping from worldly affairs and live always from worldly matters. Marriage has a concise space in Christianity which doesn't answer all questions. Christianity permits dowry, engagement, marriage sermon, and wedding Baraat in Christian wedding. This paper presents contemporary analysis between Islamic and Christian wedding rituals and its associated patterns.
