Abstract

Business and trade is one of the basic necessities of human life; without it, human life is unfinished. It is difficult to imagine a civilized humane society where there is no trade or business existed .One can also envisage how essential and important is trade from the Quranic verses and hadiths related to the trade and business. The Islamic jurists have worked hard to deduce the solutions related to trade; their hard work can only be recognized by understanding their books on trade and Islamic economics. This article discusses the Islamic concept of business and trade in detail especially during the reign of the four rightly guided caliphs.
