Abstract

" Jizya" is a special term of the Islamic law that is applied to the special revenue (tax) which is collected from the non-Muslims residing in the Islamic state according to the determined will. “Jizya" is originally derived from the word "Jizya", which literally means "compensation". This special tax (tax) is called Jizya because it is a reward for abandoning Islam and disbelief in the Islamic state. It is received to protect their wealth, property, honor, and reputation. In this research, according to the jurisprudence of Arba'ah Imams, the methods of tax collection and their sources have been studied, and the orders of the four Imams have been mentioned in detail.
