Abstract

This paper aims to discuss the financial responsibilities of wealthy people in unusual circumstances. Islam is a complete code of life. Economic issues of humanity are resolved by Islamic Shariah. Holy Qur’an and Teachings of Holy Prophet (SAWS) give the solution of poverty. Moreover, Islam guides us what to do in emergency. In this research paper financial duties of the rich are elaborated in the light of Qur’an, Sunnah and the opinions of jurists. Under emergent conditions Islamic government has the right to impose additional taxes on the wealthy class of society. Clear opinion of the jurists is that in emergency edible items can be taken by force to save the lives of the people. In this paper practical solution of poverty is given. The way how to meet the emergency is also addressed in this research work. There is dire need to resolve the financial difficulties of the public. Societies keep on facing emergency situations. Islam has told how to meet it.
