Abstract

Holy Qur’an is the last revealed book of Allah Almighty.Our Creator has given complete code of life in it. From the very first day of its revelation, interpretation and explanation of Holy verses started and it will continue till the day of resurrection. Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) was the first teacher of Holy Qur’an and companions of Holy Prophet (SAWS) were the initial students. In the last fourteen hundred years innumerable theologians spent their lives for understanding the message of Holy Quran. This is an interesting reality that there is a long list of Non-Muslims who translated and explained the last book of Allah. In sub-continent extra ordinary efforts are made for commentary of Holy Quran. In Barelvi school of thought the exegesis of Peer Muhammad Karam Shah and Allama Ghulam Rasool Saeedi are very much popular. In 21st century Mufti Muhammad Qasim Qadri,a disciple of Moulana Muhammad Ilyas Qadri, has written commentary of Holy Qur’an.Analytical study of educational characteristics of his Tafseer is done in this research paper. His Tafseer is becoming very popular among the youth. There is dire need to see his methodology of understanding and explaining the verses. The writer’s approach towards matters of Fiqh are brought under discussion. Moreover, his style of ethical training of the readers is also highlighted.
